Onion Goggles Work!

Just wanted to give a little feedback on my use of the onion goggles and their workability. I'm excited to report that I've used my onion goggles every day at least once since the previous post and cutting onions has never been easier and more comfortable. I highly recommend them!!

Onion Goggles

I woke up this morning and decided to try a blog just about cool tools for the kitchen, maybe even tools that are not specifically designed for kitchen use, but enhance the cooking experience or make it easier.

The first tool I want to present is a brand-new pair of welder's goggles that I received a few days ago. I call them my onion goggles. They may look goofy, but their lenses are crystal clear, they fit snuggly around the eye because of a soft spongy rim around the edges and they make cutting onions so much less tearful. : )

I know cutting onions without tearing up is supposedly all about a great knife and the right technique. Even though I have great knives and have read up on correct onion-cutting procedures, I claim that tearing up all depends on the onion, and I have never been able to fully avoid tears, especially when cutting a lot of onions. Wearing goggles not only prevents tears, but also improves safety because without tears, I can actually see my fingers and the sharp knife…

Click on the link and search for "goggles" to order a great pair of onion goggles aka welder's goggles. Hey, they're on sale now for $11.99 plus s/h!
